the City of Newman Police Department will be responsible for all animal related issues.
RESCUE:
For animal emergencies call 911
For non-emergency animal issues, call 209 552 2472 - or - 862 2902
All animals will be sheltered at the Gustine Animal Shelter for a maximum of 7 days.
LICENSING:
Animal licenses are required and must be renewed annually at the
Newman Police Department.
Existing Stanislaus County animal licenses will be valid until they expire.
All animal licensing, new and renewal, will now occur at the Newman Police Department during
regular business hours.
Below are photos of lost pets currently being held awaiting adoption
or their rightful owner.
If you are the rightful owner or you would like to foster or adopt
any of these animals
you must act quickly
as each animal is only kept at the Shelter for a few days

My name is KELLY. I am a 6-year old spayed female Dalmation. I weigh about 55 pounds. I have a microchip.
I am white with black spots. I have one blue eye and one brown eye, a broken tail and I am deaf. I also get ear infections.
I am VERY friendly. And my family misses me a lot!

Pricess are the same for dogs and cats
$140 for package, which includes spay or neuter, rabies and microchip.
Each cat must be in a carrier.
Each dog must be on a leash.
